Thursday

Florida update: I'm a cowgirl. Yee-haw and such. More riding to be done on Sunday afternoon at my uncle's house. This picture was taken at A.J.'s (read: sister's fiance) house. The horse's name is Tim. Tim the horse. We were trotting in this picture, and I didn't fall off! Thank you very much

I also drove my sister's car that night. SHhhhhh! For those of you who don't know, I've never had a car, or a license. And three cheers for me... I didn't hit anyone, or knock over any mailboxes!

I was in control of all the horses that day.

Tuesday

Three cheers for vacation in Florida. I arrived here safely, and am living it up with lots of fun in the sun. I already got my first sunburn of the trip and I've only been here two days. Wonderful stuff.

Here's to starry skies and amazing friends...!

Saturday

This post comes to you by way of Charlie at Where the Hell Was I? and he got the idea from The Bed & Breakfast Man. Links complete.

The rules of the game are as follows: choose five of the professions below, and finish the sentence. Post them on your blog, and pass it on (as I'm sure you won't be emailing it to anyone.) Or if you don't have a blog, feel free to answer in the comments section. Of course, you don't have to answer at all, be a jerk.

Now for my answers:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I could be an astronaut I would have to overcome my fear of being locked inside tight, dark, spaces, with no means of escape. I love the stars, I love space, heck I even love NASA (would love them a lot more if they'd stop canceling shuttle missions).
But cramming me into a shuttle, shooting me from here to Mars in 2.7 seconds, and expecting me not to panic, would be asking a bit much.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I could be a writer.... I'd have to learn to spell a bit better first off. Then Zann would have to be hired on as my personal grammarian, in charge of all that is punctuation and pronoun agreement.

In all honesty, I've written poems from time to time. Haven't had much thought on passing them about for everyone to read though. I see myself as either being a writer of wistfull romantic wishes that haven't been fulfilled in my own life, or the writer of children's books.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I could be a gardner... The entire world would be painted blue with morning glories and forget-me-nots. I actually enjoy gardening, but living in NYC doesn't allow for a wide variety of choices there.
I have a span of grass on our back patio, and in it are planted all sorts of wonderful flowers that are, in my opinion, taking way too much time to grow. Sweet little seed....... why don't you grow????
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I could be a librarian.... no one would ever see me again, because I would be tucked away in a hidden corner of the library with my nose in one book after the next. I would probably lose my job for not helping others find the books they needed. And I would be very, very pale.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I could be a bonnie pirate.... I would immediately seek out Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp, commandeer a pirate ship, and sail off in search of rum. Drink up me hearties yo ho!
As if you didn't know what was coming there. I am so predictable at times.
Tuesday
I'm taking the children to Chuck "E" Cheese on Thursday. And this time we're going by God. I know it's not the circus, but it's better than our normal trips to the park. Which reminds me, Monday the class and I went to our favorite park (Underwood Park to be exact) and played on the swing sets. Much to my surprise, a large percent of the children had no idea how to work a swing. Now that's a lesson worth teaching.
In other news, I've spent several hours the last few days learning, and relearning to play John Mayer's song 'Daughters' on guitar. I think I've finally got it figured out.
The sun..... has gone...... to bed and so must I....
