The rules of the game are as follows: choose five of the professions below, and finish the sentence. Post them on your blog, and pass it on (as I'm sure you won't be emailing it to anyone.) Or if you don't have a blog, feel free to answer in the comments section. Of course, you don't have to answer at all, be a jerk.

Now for my answers:

If I could be an astronaut I would have to overcome my fear of being locked inside tight, dark, spaces, with no means of escape. I love the stars, I love space, heck I even love NASA (would love them a lot more if they'd stop canceling shuttle missions).
But cramming me into a shuttle, shooting me from here to Mars in 2.7 seconds, and expecting me not to panic, would be asking a bit much.

If I could be a writer.... I'd have to learn to spell a bit better first off. Then
Zann would have to be hired on as my personal grammarian, in charge of all that is punctuation and pronoun agreement.
In all honesty, I've written poems from time to time. Haven't had much thought on passing them about for everyone to read though. I see myself as either being a writer of wistfull romantic wishes that haven't been fulfilled in my own life, or the writer of children's books.

If I could be a gardner... The entire world would be painted blue with morning glories and forget-me-nots. I actually enjoy gardening, but living in NYC doesn't allow for a wide variety of choices there.
I have a span of grass on our back patio, and in it are planted all sorts of wonderful flowers that are, in my opinion, taking way too much time to grow. Sweet little seed....... why don't you grow????

If I could be a librarian.... no one would ever see me again, because I would be tucked away in a hidden corner of the library with my nose in one book after the next. I would probably lose my job for not helping others find the books they needed. And I would be very, very pale.

If I could be a bonnie pirate.... I would immediately seek out Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp, commandeer a pirate ship, and sail off in search of rum. Drink up me hearties yo ho!
As if you didn't know what was coming there. I am so predictable at times.
